103 species in the Old Vic moth traps last night (the 125W MV and the LED). A few highlights and ones I found hard to id below.
Lilac Beauty- a lifer and a real beauty too, a male I believe.
Lackey- a few of these of both sexes (female above)
Triangle-marked Roller, Ancylis achatana
White Cloaked Shoot Gypsonoma sociana
Gorse Crest Brachmia blandella
Double Square-spot
Dark Pine Knot-horn, Dioryctria abietella (above and below; might be a lifer, need to check)
Dingy Shears
Swallow-tail Moth- always a treat to see, a few of these last night
Double-striped Pug- I thought this might be something more interesting but apparently not, presumably just a worn one
Common White Wave
Dusky Brocade (first for the Old Vic, only had one of these before at the Beddington obs)
