An uneventful week

It's been an exhausting week with nothing of note really happening. There have been viewings at the Old Vic property, repair men swarming the Old Vic to fix a drainage problem, I've been in the garden keeping it tidy for viewings,  Dimiter and Marina visited on Tuesday on the way back from Bird Fair, I've had the moth trap out when it hasn't been raining (so not many nights), been in London since Tuesday night, visited 16 clients in London, did an evening trip with Gillian to Denbies Hill, had the moth trap up at my mum's , doing a family birthday curry tonight, all day in the office tomorrow before catching the plan to Grand Canaria on Saturday.   So despite all that , I can't think of one single thing that happened that was of any significant note- no rare moths, no rare birds etc.

Been listening to Lex Fridman podcast recently while quoting (always use the time while driving to listen to lectures etc). Been some interesting discussions about the future of the human species with Yuval Noah Harari and also some interesting insights from some global oligarchs (MarcAndreeson) and world leaders (including Benjamen Nentanyahu). Amazing that Lex Fridman (a computer programmer) has emerged as the host to THE global conversation where all the main people driving the future of humanity and the planet are talking honestly- this is the room where the real conversation is happening- not in Parliaments or in the Press but in Lex's small room. Very inspiring to see how one honest guy who believes in critical thinking and seeing things from all sides can spontaneously appear as the 'global parliament speaker'. Basically anyone who is interested in global politics, the future of humanity, the economy and the future of technology- this is the best source of information that I know of.

Must be London- plenty of these in my mum's garden trap
Kent Black Arches in my mum's garden
Female Chalkhill Blue at Denbies
Small Copper on Marjoram at Denbies
Six-spot Burnets at Denbies in cop

A couple of wild gardens that we manage for some customers- not many choose to go this wild

The Old Vic mini-farm this week (above and below)

The female Panther Chameleon in the mini-zoo has suddenly developed orange stripes (used to mainly be white). This locust is an inspiration for a life strategy- ride the head of the beast to avoid getting eaten- I think that is what I do anyway in the market economy!
