Night recording

Had a couple of waders last night calling from the farmlands during the thunderstorm conditions. The Curlew was the first for the year. Also had Common Sandpiper, Green Sandpiper, Barn Owl, Grey Heron, Magpie and lake birds calling.

Hiya Peter, I was wondering if you could share details of your sound recording kit setup? I'd be keen to use something similar up here on Skye, just need to know a rough costings is all. Cheers buddy, Seth.

Hi Seth,

I've got:
Sennheiser ME 66 mic
with a Sennheiser K6 power module, Rycole pistol grip and windshield for the mic (£200+)

My recording device is a Sony PCM-M10 (£200)

Analysis software is Cornell's Raven Lite- also use Audacity (FREE software)

A lot of it can get cheaper on ebay.

Cheers seth
