The final procession in this autumn's carnival is underway as the last float comes past ; the bloody Woodpigeons. Had nearly 200 going over the Old Vic garden this morning (Ebird list HERE), elsewhere there are counts of 1000s being made over last few days.
Our Yew tree is in heavy fruit this winter and lots of thrushes are feeding there.
I think it's officially over on the migrant moth fest too. Just two worn Yellow-line Quakers across two traps last night as the temperatures dropped to 6 C. Despite global warming and the desert moths and Crimson Speckled harbingers of doom it looks like winter is actually finally coming.
