Euro-trip Day 3: Vienna to Belgrade

A pretty typical train view of Central and Western Europe (although going down the Rhine valley was very pleasant)
A fairly typical view from South Hungary into Serbia

Surprisingly few birds from the window on this trip (although I could be looking harder). The birdlife has certainly picked up as we've gone into Southern Hungary and beyond- more diverse agro-ecosystems. The sunflowers fields were swarming with birds- also more ponds and un-improved land.
Really surprised to see no evidence of migration- not a single hirundine moving. A few Chiffchaffs here and there. No obvious raptors going over etc.
I suspect migration is concentrated into much narrower 'streams' than I presumed.
