Old Blogger and the Old Vicarage

Another very windy and occasionally wet weekend. The only time we got out (apart from the garden) was for a family day at Water Perry Garden.

The Spotted Flycatchers are still around, the Goldfinches are now fledged (from the Wisteria) and now Woodpigeons are building a nest in there. The Great Spotted Woodpeckers fledged a couple of weeks ago and there are now juvenile Green and Great Spotted Woodpeckers about.

Here's a few pics of new for years and not so frequent visitors from the Old Vicarage this weekend.

 I've reverted to old blogger.

 Lappet
 Intermediate morph Peppered Moth
 Yellow-tail
 Common Wave

I'm inclined to call this a Rustic rather than an Uncertain/Rustic
Another one of these Midgets Phyllonorycter sp
A rich coloured Dingy Shears
 Chinese Character
Izzy killed this- presumably a Common Shrew - nope it's a Water Shrew
Spent the afternoon at Water Perry Gardens on Monday
