Blackwits and bits

Adult (left) and juvenile Black-tailed Godwit

Adult (right) and juvenile Black-tailed Godwit (adult moulting inner primaries)
Two juvenile Black-tailed Godwits from yesterday. Are these two different pairs of birds or has one of the juvs gone and been replaced by an adult?
Juvenile large gulls. An interesting time of year to be looking at juvenile large gulls (a bad time of year for other ages as so worn and bleached in many cases). In last few weeks there's been juvenile Herring, Lesser Black-backed, Yellow-legged and Caspian.
Straw Underwing. Several over last few evenings. Typical species recently include Large Yellow Underwing, Lesser Broad-boarded Yellow Underwing, Setaceous Hebrew Character, Pale Mottled Willow, White-point, Copper Underwing and Willow Beauty. The Jersey Tigers seemed to have gone post peak now. Still a few butterflies about- Gatekeeper, Small White, Meadow Brown, Holly and Common Blue today. Migrant and Southern Hawkers, Common Darter and a few Small Red-eyes still.
