A visitor to the obs



Just found this in the obs garden. I presume some kind of escaped locust? It's about 6cm long.

Looks like a Speckled Bush Cricket

Hi Mike,
Graham sent the pic to an expert who says that the vestigal wings strongly suggests it is something that is an escape- probably bred for reptile food.
I did have an Oak Bush Cricket recently.
