Had my first House Martins this evening- 6 over the lake with 10+ Sand Martin and a few Swallows. Also 2 Reed Warblers singing on 100 acre, 1 Yellow Wagtail over and 2 LRP on Southern Lake. Also 1-2 Green Sandpipers, 30+ Teal, 6 Shoveler, 6 Gadwall, 8 Shelduck but not a lot else. The weather has got cooler and the Blackcaps, Chiffchaffs and Whitethroats have gone rather quiet. Looks like the one or two singing Willow Warblers moved on a few days ago too.
The purple patch at nearby Canon's Farm continues with a Wood Warbler today while I continue to fail in finding a single scarce migrant at Beddington.
