Howell Hill - Small Blue and Orchids

Southern Marsh-orchid
Fragrant Orchid
Knapweed Broomrake (not an orchid but impressive and rare)
Spent the morning with Gillian and botany expert Peter Wakeham. Went to Howell Hill which is only 10 minutes from here. A little gem of a reserve- managed by Surrey Wildlife Trust.
Seven species of orchid.

Nice site, on what's left of the Surrey chalk - visited over 35 years ago carrying out some conservation work!
