The Old Vic ticking over

Slowly ticking away at the Old Vic this week. The all time moth list is now on 490 (cigar is waiting for the 500 milestone), finally got Hedgehog on the garden list from the camera trap (now on 1036 pan species for the Old Vic) but nothing new on the bird year list since last update. Had our first garden fledgling of the year- a Song Thrush and also there are now Woodpigeon chicks in the Walnut nest. Got about 18 species of bird  HERE  actually breeding in the garden but need to work out number of territories. Still got to go through the noc-mig from last night and in these winds might be something on there (lots of waders around by day this morning across the region).

We finished the new flat in Hackbridge this week and the tenant moved in yesterday so all good on the investment drive.

The mini-zoo (building the bioactive closed ecosystem) is on hold at the moment as I'm away working on the Bulgaria project from Monday for two weeks.

A cold north east wind at the moment and still cold at night so pretty slow on the mini-farm.

Lunar Marbled Brown - a new for year (as are moths below too)
Common Oak Purple
Powdered Quakers (above and below)

I went for a worn Common Quaker on this-looking like a Powdered Quaker
Lesser Swallow (left) and Swallow Prominent (right). Solid white wedge that fails short of half the wing edge on the Lesser and open white bordered longer wedge on Swallow.
Pebble Prominent
Flame Shoulder
Yellow-barred Brindle
Our first garden fledgling for 2022- a Song Thrush
Carrion Crow with a small mammal (young Rat?)
The new London flat, auction, bought, done up and tenant in all within two months! Thanks to Michael (our letting agent) and also  Roger from the bird group for actually having some real life skills instead of just having the ability to identify loads of creatures (with help!) and employ people ! Btw anyone reading this who can offer any services to what we do please get in contact- always looking to employ and pay for services from more people and also volunteers for our not for profits . Here's our portfolio HERE

Hopefully this is not going to be in too much of a mess when I get back in two weeks time. Silver birches and ash now in leaf, main apple tree in blossom but the Walnut still not in leaf yet.
