Weekend round up

Spent the weekend at Stubcroft Farm again but got flooded out in the tent so decided to come back home early and I went to Otmoor instead.  Ebird list HERE.

Female Garganey with nine young- fantastic to see
Black-tailed Godwits over Big Otmoor- 10 on site today
Had this moth in the Old Vic trap- an unusually marked Turnip I presume
Anarsia sp at the Old Vic. not sure what the latest is on these . County recorder confirms its Anarsia innoxiella (Acer Sober) and not A. lineatella (Peach Twig Borer), so Acer Sober is the default on these now.
Grass Snake at Otmoor
Visited Arundel WWT again- interesting to see the male Spectacled Eiders now in eclipse plumage (see earlier on in month HERE)

Black-headed Gulls with Blue Water Speed-well (according to PlantNet). A nice selection of wetland plants along the reserve footpath including (according to the app) Valerian, European Bugleweed, Purple Loosestrife,  Meadowsweet and Tansy.
Highlight of Jacob's weekend was the flooded tent
Good times before the deluge
