Slimbridge

A brief impromptu visit to Slimbridge today following a trip to Cardiff to drop off my niece Fran at Uni and a visit to see Darryl. Amazingly bumped into Bob Flood in the M4 services on the way home who was on his way to the Galapagos.

Always a magical experience going to Slimbridge- the sounds and sights of the Bewick's Swans are mystically evocative.

A rather anaemic billed adult- maybe a younger bird? - not a juvenile as juvenile presents were typically blotchy grey

Plenty of interesting behaviour going on
The often unseen green tint to a male Pintail is clearly visible in this shot
Female Baikal Teal in the collection. Always great to gen up on world wildfowl species in the collection.
