Green Sandpiper


 Juvenile Green Sandpiper. 17 Green Sands today, also 3 Blackwits, 3 Common Sandpiper, 10+ Lapwing, 1 Common Tern and 2 juvenile Yellow-legged Gulls. 80+ Swift flying round, 5 Swallow through, a few Sand Martins, 30+ Whitethroat, 15 Blackcap, 10 Chiffchaff, 10 Reed Warbler, 1 Willow Warbler, 1 Lesser Whitethroat and 700+ Starling.
 Great Crested Grebe- our first successful breeding at the farmlands
 Tufties- record year! 75 young so far of at least 6-7 pairs, some multi-brooding going on and presumed egg dropping- some clutches are 15+ strong.
 Xanthogramma pedissequum- no Chrysotoxum festivum. According to UK Hoverflies this species is un-mistakable (doh!) The two distinct down turned bars on the abdomen are a strong feature.
Bunny- where it all begins. About 20+ on Bikers and 100 acre.
