Bug Life

Pale Tussock- found it on 'the obs' door entrance
Cauchas rufimitrella? Brassy forewing and orange/yellow crown? Not on the Beddington list. Confirmed by Surrey moths- first for the farm- nice!
 Smart looking Fly Anthomyia pluvialis?
Smart looking sawfly-Bramble Sawfly (Arge cyanocrocea) I-spot id

Finally a change in the weather and the bugs have finally appeared. I spent a bit of time around the hide where flowering Hawthorn and Cow Parsley were attracting a bit of action. First Blue-tails of the year, Nick had Large Red Damselfly, Orange-tip still about too and generally lots more insects- butterflies, the first soldier beetles, usual hoverfly suspects, flower bugs etc. A few less typical bits an bobs above.

More buggering about here: May Un-identified
