Little Oak Lodge- recent moths

Been a pretty good couple of days at the garden moth trap with the best night so far last night, 63 species of about 80 individuals. Now on 144 species for the garden.

Had a Redshank go over this morning, a Sand Martin was flying around last night and the Cuckoo is still singing in the neighbourhood.

On our way to Australia today- already looking forward to coming home to continue round here.

Comfrey Ermel, Ethmia quadrillella - need to check but I think this might be a lifer
Scarce Silver-lines- always a treat
Marbled Knot-horn, Acrobasis marmorea- another one I need to check for a lifer
Magpie moth
Buttoned Snout- not in it's usual resting posture
Swallowtail moth
Matt and I spent yesterday cutting the lawns ahead of ground works while we are away in Australia. There's a pond going on here,  hedge trenching around the whole perimeter on the side, back and front gardens and the out building demolition. The front of the house definitely needs a climber on that blank wall. We've kept the ditch vegetation which is full of Foxgloves, Hedge Woundwort and Water dropwort
Sunset in the lane yesterday
