Summer Visitors

In this high pressure seems like our breeding birds are arriving but migrants are going overhead without stopping. There are now 8-9 singing Whitethroats (pic 3), the Sand Martin colony has increased to 9-10 birds (pic 4), I missed some House Martins this morning, Blackcaps and Chiffchaffs are dotted all along the edge (pics 1 and 2), there is at least one vociferous LRP. Shelduck are up to 6 pairs and looks like the Water Pipits are gone and the Green Sandpipers are clearing out.

2 male Wheatears on Bikers Field may have been the birds I had yesterday by the enclosed beds.
