Northern Northern Wheatears?

These birds looked big and bright today- 5 new birds on the mound. Maybe on their way to Iceland/Greenland or Fenno-Scandinavia. A bit of a storm this evening that brought in 3-4 Swallow.

I just watched some Northern Wheatears in Uganda a few weeks ago. I wonder where your wheatears spent the winter. Any ideas?

Hi John, Northern Wheatears winter across the whole of Sub-Sahara so maybe these were the birds you saw in Uganda?

Lee- Wheatears are the new improved Waxwings!
