Glossy Ibis Returns!

Blackwit
Presumably it was the same bird?
One was seen flying south over Crayford Marsh so that was presumably the same bird too.
Also today Blackwit, Red Kite, Common Buzzards and Devil and Josh had a juvenile Caspian Gull.
My 215th bird species for the farmlands.

That is almost as good as my Caspian Tern shot!

I loved your Caspian action really- just wanted to re-live Ghana :-)

Peter, is Beddington accessible to the public or only by prior arrangement? I've never been there so please excuse the question! Thanks.

Hi Joe, there is a footpath open to the public that runs alongside the railway line- the north and south lakes can be viewed from there. Access to the path is either via Hackbridge- over Mile Road Bridge near Furlong Close or from Mitcham common and Beddington park.
For access to the restoration area (restricted at moment as working site) best to keep an eye on public walk dates from the bird group. See wwww.beddingtonfarmlands.org.uk
