Merveille du jour - a homage

It has been a long time coming and I've dreamed of catching one since I've started mothing. It's a common moth by the sounds of it but taken me this long to see one so here's a homage to my final success- my first encounter with the wonderful Merveille du Jour, at the Old Vicarage.

Also had my first Delicate for the Old Vic and a nice little selection of autumn moths.

I was supposed to twitch the Suffolk Steppe Grey Shrike today but no news by mid-day so I went to Farmoor instead and basically saw bugger all.

Merveille du Jour (above)

Delicate (a rather worn one)
Chestnut- a new for year and a selection of Beaded Chestnuts (if I'm not mistaken below)
