Off the mark

It's not easy getting out in the field during the school holidays but I managed another hour or so this morning at Ferry. 58 species of nearly 3000 individuals and most of them were actually on the Ferry field which is literally dripping in birds HERE .

I then spent the rest of the day taking the boys to Arundel WWT , again nearly impossible to do any proper birding but managed to get a Great Egret for the year  HERE

71 species on my 2026 year list so far limping off the mark. Off to Thailand on Sunday on a focused birding trip so should eventually get going.

Biblical scenes on Ferry Field. First time I've seen the Golden Plovers getting on here.
