Basically spent today transferring to the main Azores island of Sao Miguel but did mange to see a pale-bellied Brent Goose flying over the village this morning. As usual as soon as I leave 'The Rock' a mega gets found and this year was no different with a Snowy Egret being found by the Spanish on Flores. In the past I've missed Caspian Plover, Prairie Warbler and Yellow-throated Warbler within a day or two of leaving.
I'm on Sao Miguel tomorrow and will be looking for Yellow-browed Warbler and also chasing some Fieldfares that the Swedes found recently. It's not over yet!
