Beddington Farmlands

Great to meet up with Zach, Roger and Ian yesterday for an evening bash of the farmlands. There were a couple of Curlews, Bar-tailed Godwits and a few Yellow-legged Gulls earlier in the day but it was pretty quiet by the evening, a few Green Sands, a Common Sand and a few Sand Martins on the move.

Green Sandpiper, been over 20 of this on site recently. Good to know the habitat is still in good enough condition to supporting this important staging population. There's been some good progress with the bulk digs on the wet grassland habitats in last few weeks and progress also being made in creating the new public footpaths. More from the local MP on reserve development progress HERE

Closest I can get to this is an Endothenia sp (margiana is a likely candidate)
Adult Peregrine
Great to see the recently fledged Pochards flying around. One of the red data list species breeding on site.
