A quick update on this. We spent the week clearing out the surplus vines from the area that is being developed into a meadow and also thinned out some of the 'forest garden' area. As it's high summer we held back from a lot of the strimming and tree transplanting as most of the area was alive with insects. Will return in November to carry out more extensive works but it was a good work session with all the old fence posts and wires cleared from the site, the boundaries re-marked and the vine's cleared.
Also in November hope to sort out the paperwork to get electricity and water on the land ahead of finalising the landscaping and build plans.
Hopefully with the moth and butterfly data we've collected this visit will finalise a recording scheme as soon as there's time.
