Heat Wave Moths, The Old Vic

97 species of moth last night in these barmy conditions.  Now on 209 species for the year following a good haul of NFYs and one or two possible firsts (awaiting confirmation).

Red-belted and Orange-tailed Clearwings have been attracted to lure again in last couple of days too but still not Currant, Yellow-legged or Six-belted which I've also been targeting.

Delicate- nice to get a half decent (for inland here) migrant. Also a Diamond-back moth.
Dotted Ermel, Ethmia dodecea (A new for site and lifer). A presumed migrant or wanderer.
Small Angle Shades- certainly a garden NFY but possibly a first too
I went for Orange Spotted Shoot Rhyacionia pinicolana for this rather than the similar Pine Shoot
This is either a worn Least Black Arches or the more exciting Small Black Arches. Not familiar with the species or the pitfalls so awaiting processing. Update, See comments and also confirmation from the country recorder team, yes it is a Small Black Arches.

I think that is Small Black Arches - it's in Bernwood Forest, and I've even had in East Oxford a couple of times in really warm weather

I've seen several Least before but this immediately struck me as it looked more rounded, greyer ground colour and the markings more diffuse so fingers crossed nobody disagrees. Thanks Ben!
