Wintering Common Sandpiper

This bird has been around for a while. This is the 5th wintering record for the farmlands following birds in January 1958 and 1964, early March 1964 (same bird?) and December 1992.
The long tail projection (above pic) and extensive white wing bar eliminate the possibility of a vagrant Spotted Sandpiper
Female Stonechat. The Siberian Chiffchaff, Dartford Warbler and Cetti's Warbler also around today.
At least five Water Pipits on the enclosed beds.
Cherry Plum flowering!!!
The enclosed beds- unfortunately being de-commissioned. Important habitat for Water Pipits and waders.
