Back to Africa

If my visa actually gets here in time I'll be going back to Ghana at the end of this week. I was last there in 1997, working as a geologist (stealth birding) as part of my MSc.  I spent about four months there and had a great time.
Going to re-visit Kakum and the famous canopy walkway (pic above in 1997) so basically pretty excited about it all and seeing how things have changed in a decade and a half.

Yellow Feverish

I'm off to Ghana, West Africa at the end of this week (if my visa gets here). Anyway I've been injected with polio, typhoid, hepatitis and yellow fever a few days ago and now feeling rather feverish and delirious.

So I've been spinning round the obs on my own writing dittys about pelagics and dreaming that Mila Kunis is my nurse (and is currently in the kitchen making me a hot honey and lemon)

'Can you get me a Jaffa cake too dear'
